Cost Groups Tab of Fee Estimate Service Profiles

Use the Cost Groups tab to specify the cost groups that are available for the selected service profile. Cost groups provide a detailed break down of the work being performed. You can associate multiple cost groups with one functional group on a fee estimate.

When users create a fee estimate, they will first select a service profile. Based on this selection, the Cost Group drop-down list on the Fee Estimate tab of the Opportunity Info Center and will include all cost groups that are assigned to that specific service profile. This ensures that the appropriate cost groups are matched with their respective service profiles.

Field Description
Cost Groups Drop-down Click the drop-down arrow on a grid header to complete any of the following actions:
  • To print grid data, click Print. When the Print Preview form displays, click File > Print to send the grid data to your default printer.
  • To export grid data to an Excel spreadsheet, click Export to Excel. When Microsoft Excel opens, use its features to modify, print, or email the data, or to save the spreadsheet file locally.
  • To turn on grouping for a grid, click Enable Grouping. When a field displays with the instruction: "Drag a column header here to group by that column," drag and drop column headers into this field, in the sequence that you want them to display.

Not all options are available on all grids.

Insert Click this option to insert a cost group the Cost Groups grid.
Delete Click this option to delete the selected cost group from the Cost Groups grid.
Code Select a cost group for the service profile. The cost groups that display in this list are entered on the Cost Groups tab of Configuration > General > Fee Estimate Groups. If you do not see the cost group that you need, you must first enter it in Fee Estimate Groups.
Description This field displays a description of the selected cost group.
Disabled Select this option to disable this cost group. This cost group will not be available when creating the fee estimate.
