Create a Ajera CRM Merge Template with Microsoft Word

One way to create a Ajera CRM merge template is to create an .rtf file with Microsoft Word.

You create merge templates in Word before you add them to Ajera CRM.

To create a Ajera CRM merge template with Microsoft Word, complete the following steps:

  1. From theAjera CRM Navigation menu, click Utilities > Download Merge Macro.
  2. On the Download Merge Macro form, click the DeltekWordMacro.dot button.
  3. In the File Download dialog box, click the Save button.
  4. On the Save As dialog box, complete the following actions:
    1. Browse to your workstation's Startup folder.
    2. In the Save as type field, select your startup folder.
    3. Click Save.
    A Ajera CRM toolbar that contains Ajera CRM merge codes and formatting options displays in Word.
  5. Open Word and select merge codes and formatting from the Ajera CRM toolbar to create your merge template.
  6. Save the file as a Rich Text Format (.rtf) file.
Postrequisites: After you create a merge template, you add it to Ajera CRM and associate it with the appropriate Info Center in Ajera CRM Configuration > General > Merge Codes. The Ajera CRM Demo database comes with sample merge templates that are created with Microsoft Word. You can access these to view the contents of an .rtf merge template file and see the results when you generate a merged document.
