Format Currency Dialog Box

To accommodate companies located or doing business in countries other than the United States, Ajera CRM provides default currency formats for reports, checks, and other Ajera CRM output based on your settings in Regional and Language Options in Microsoft Windows. In certain cases, Ajera CRM provides the Format Currency dialog box so you can modify those default currency formats to meet special requirements.

In Reporting, you can modify the default currency formats for individual reports and for individual report columns. The Layout tab on the Options dialog box displays the default currency format for the report. That format, in turn, becomes the default format for each currency field on the report. You can modify the default format on the Layout tab, and you can modify the format for individual columns on the Columns tab. In either case, you change the settings on the Format Currency dialog box.

To review or change your settings for Windows, display the Windows Control Panel and double-click Regional and Language Options.

Location

To display the dialog box, complete the following steps:

1. From the Ajera CRM Navigation menu, click Reporting and click the type of report.
2. In the Reports grid, click the Options column for the report.
3. Click .
4. On the Options dialog box, select one of the following actions:

   Option	Description
   To change the format for the report	Click the Layout tab, and click in Currency in the Default Formats group box. (For the Key Financial Metrics report, click the Metrics tab.)
   To change the format for an individual column	Click the Columns tab, click the Format grid column for the report column, and then  click .

Field	Description
Type	This field displays Currency. You cannot change it.
Sample	This field displays the formats for positive amounts, negative amounts, and zero amounts. As you select formatting options, Ajera CRM updates these samples based on your selections.
Use default number of decimal places	Select this option to use the default number of decimal places. To use a different number of decimal places, clear that check box and specify the number of decimal places in Decimal places. (Note that in some cases, Ajera CRM uses a fixed number of decimal places for a report column. If you specify a different number, it has no effect on those columns.)
Decimal places	If you do not select Use default number of decimal places, select or enter the number of decimal places in Decimal places. (Note that in some cases, Ajera CRM uses a fixed number of decimal places for a report column. If you specify a different number, it has no effect on those columns.)
Digit grouping	Select from the following digital grouping options: 123456789 — Ajera CRM does not group digits. Default grouping — Ajera CRM groups digits using the default grouping for the applicable culture. For example, if the culture for the report displayed in the Override regional settings field on the Layout tab is English (United States), this option is 123,456,789.
Negative number	Specify how you want the report to indicate negative amounts: Sign on front — Ajera CRM displays a minus sign before the amount. Sign on back — Ajera CRM displays a minus sign after the amount. Parentheses — Ajera CRM displays the amount within parentheses.
Zero number	Specify how you want the report to indicate zero amounts: display 0, display a short dash (-), or leave the space blank 0 — Ajera CRM displays 0. - — Ajera CRM displays a short dash. Do not display —Ajera CRM leaves the space blank.
OK	Click this button to close the Format Currency dialog box and apply the formatting options.
Cancel	Click this button to close the Format Currency dialog box and discard any changes you made to the formatting options.
Help	Click this button to display a help topic for the Format Currency dialog box.
