Period Interval

Use this group box select the select the interval for generating dates for the calendar file.

Your options are:

• Daily (D)
• Weekly (W)
• Monthly (M): This interval is based on the start date.
• End of Month (E): This interval is based on the end of the month date.
• Quarterly (Q)
• Yearly (Y)

• Pattern: Select this option to define your own pattern using combinations of the standard intervals.

  For example, you can define the following custom patterns for generating calendar dates:

• 2W: Biweekly intervals.
• 3E: Trimonthly intervals using end-of-the-month dates.
• 4W,4W,5W: A 4-week interval, followed by a 4-week interval, followed by a 5-week interval.
• 3M,2Q: A trimonthly interval, followed by a biquarterly interval.
• LAST <day>: This interval generates dates on the last specified day of each month. For example, LAST FRI would generate dates on the last Friday of each month.

For all of the options except End of Month, the start date will govern which day is in the calendar periods. For example, if you create a monthly calendar and provide a start date of 7/15/24, the generated periods in the calendar will be 7/15/24, 8/15/24, 9/15/24, and so on.

Range

Use this group box to specify the range for generating dates for the calendar file.

• Starting: Use this field to specify the date that you want to repeat—and it should be the last day of the period.
• Ending: Use this field to specify the end date of the period or the number of times the date interval should be repeated.
