Select the Earned Value Method
Use the Earned section of the Preferences tab of the Project Properties dialog box to select the method for calculating the earned value for a project.
To select the earned value method for a project:
Display the Project Properties dialog box and click the Preferences tab.
Click Earned.
In the Earned by: field, select the option to calculate the earned value.
