Close Multiple Bank Statements

You can mark multiple reconciled statements as closed after you complete the reconciliation.

Closing a statement removes the statement date from the list of "in progress" statements on the Bank Statement Selection dialog box, to make it easier to select statements in the future. It also disables options on the other tabs on the Bank Statement Reconciliation form. However, you can clear the Closed check box on the Main tab at any time to reopen a statement.

To close multiple statements:

  1. On the Navigation menu, click Cash Management > Bank Reconciliation.
  2. On the Bank Statement Selection dialog box, use the dialog box options to select a statement. It does not matter which statement you select. This step is only necessary to display the Bank Statement Reconciliation form.
  3. Click Close Utility on the form toolbar.
  4. If the bank for which you want to close statements is not displayed in the Bank field on the Close Bank Statement dialog box, select the correct bank.
  5. In the Close Statements prior to field, specify the date that you want to use as the cutoff date for closing statements.
  6. Click OK.
  7. On the confirmation message box, click Yes. The utility closes all statements for the selected bank that have statement dates earlier than the date that you entered in the Close Statements prior to field.
