Use a Template for Estimated Revenue Allocation
You can select a pre-defined template to use as the basis for the data on the Estimated Revenue Allocation grid, which allows you to calculate your company's desired revenue date, amount, and percentage.
This option is available if your company purchased the CRM Professional application and the Enable Service Estimate option is selected on the Service Estimate tab in .
To use a pre-defined template as the basis for estimated revenue allocation:
- In the Navigation pane, go to the Hubs section and select Opportunities.
- Click the Opportunity toggle button.
- Click the Estimated Revenue tab.
- Select Specific Date as the Allocation Method for calculating estimated revenue allocation for the opportunity. This activates the Estimated Revenue Allocation grid. Use this grid to identify the dates on which revenue is expected to be received. This feature is useful for companies who receive revenue for a project at irregular intervals, rather than monthly or quarterly. For example, a company can submit a fee schedule with a proposal that specifies that an inspection is to occur on a specific date and, upon completion, a payment will be due.

Refresh/Use Template to open the Allocation Template dialog box and select an existing template.

project at irregular intervals, rather than monthly or quarterly. The Estimated Revenue Allocation Method grid populates with the template's details.
You can modify the template information that displays in this grid. These changes do not overwrite the saved template in
