Contents of the Set Skill Levels Dialog Box

Use these fields and options to configure a custom search to display employees based on their skill level and how long they have been using the skill.

Field Description
SKILL

If you have already selected one or more skills in the SKILLS field on the previous form or dialog box, those skills display in this column. To enter skill level and usage requirements for a skill, click that grid row and select the values you want in the SKILL LEVEL and SKILL USAGE columns.

To add an additional skill to the search, click + Add Skill below the grid, click this field, and select the skill. If the list of skills is long, you can also type one or more characters in the field and pause to display a selection list that includes only skills that contain those characters.

To delete a skill, click at the end of the grid row for that skill.

SKILL LEVEL

To specify a required skill level (years of experience or level of proficiency using a skill, for example), click this field and select the skill level. You must select the skill levels one at a time, but you can select as many as you want.

If the list of skill levels is long, you can type one or more characters in the field to display a selection list that includes only skill levels that contain those characters.

SKILL USAGE

To specify a required skill usage (how frequently a resource or employee uses the skill), click this field and select the skill usage description. You must select the skill usage descriptions one at a time, but you can select as many as you want.

If the list of skill usage descriptions is long, you can type one or more characters in the field to display a selection list that includes only skill usage descriptions that contain those characters.

+ Add Skill To add an additional skill to the search, click + Add Skill below the grid to add a new skill row. Select the skill in the SKILL column.

Click Set to include the skill level data in the resource search.

Click Cancel to discard your entries and close the dialog box without updating the search.
