Use the fields and options on the dialog box to copy a
task.
The Copy
Task dialog box is available only when a
task is displayed in the
Projects hub.

Click this button to create the new
task.
DPS displays the Edit
Project Structure form, where you can edit fields for multiple work breakdown structure (WBS) levels of the
project at the same time, as well as add and remove
phases and
tasks:
- All
phases are collapsed except for the parent
phase of the new
task.
- The new
task is highlighted and is last in the list of
tasks for the parent
phase.
- The new
task's number is blank and required. The
Save button is disabled until you enter a
task number that is unique for that
phase.
When you create the new
taskDPS copies all data from the existing
task to the new
task, except the following:
- linked
opportunities
- linked promotional
projects
- linked
projects
- activities
- project codes
- descriptions
- dates and costs
- location
- attachments
- team
employees (their status in the new
project is proposed)
- team
employees start and end dates
- team
vendors (their status in the new
project is proposed)
- Contract Management tab data
- contracts
- contract details
- notes
- credit
- awards grid data
- links
