Set Up Access to the Application Programming Interface (API)

If you want to use any of the API to import data from other applications into DPS, use the Generate Secret button on the API Authorization form to generate the ID and secret that your applications will use to access DPS through the API.

To set up access to the API:

1. In the Navigation pane, select Utilities > Integrations > API Authorization.
2. On the API Authorization form, click Generate Secret.
3. In response to the confirmation message, click Generate. The client ID and client secret that your applications can use to access DPS through the API display.
