Salesforce Integration
When you own both DPS CRM or CRM Plus and Salesforce, you can set up integration between the two products. This enables you to share opportunity, account, and contact information entered in Salesforce with DPS, and streamline the creation of estimates, proposals, and project plans in DPS.
The integration information is intended for a system administrator and provides the following details:
- Prerequisite requirements, including evaluating data quality.
- Complete configuration steps that are required before you can link opportunity, account, and contact records from Salesforce to DPS.
- Data mapping between Salesforce objects and DPS objects.
- Status updates on imports.
- Exception handling and error messages.
- Troubleshooting steps for checking issues that may occur when you configure the integration or when users run the DPS utility to link records.
Statuses Updates on Import
- All imported contacts should be imported with a Status of Qualified.
- All imported opportunities should be marked with a Status of Active, with the exception fo those that have a Probability of 0%, which are marked as Inactive.
- All Firms that are imported should be marked as clients with the Client checkbox selected.
Exception Handling and Errors
For Salesforce Integration:
- Both successes and failures are logged in a table.
- Failures generate alerts in the Notification Center.
