Timesheet Entries and Budgeted Labor

A system administrator can configure DPS to check timesheet entries against planned hours for a project when you save or submit your timesheet.

Depending on how your system administrator configures the options for a project, you could receive a warning or error message when you enter the following on your timesheet:

  • Hours that exceed the number of planned hours for the project in the time period that correspond with the timesheet period.
  • Hours that exceed the number of total planned hours for a project.

When you receive a warning, you can still save and submit the timesheet. When you receive an error, you are not allowed to save or submit the timesheet.
