Change Period in the Desktop Application

After you log in to the DPS desktop application, you can change the accounting period that you are working in (the active period).

You can also specify that the latest accounting period be the default active period when you open DPS.

You complete these steps in the desktop application. When you change the period in the desktop application, it also changes the period in the browser application.

To change the accounting period that you are working in:

  1. On the Navigation menu in the desktop application, click Utilities > Change Period.
  2. On the Period Selection dialog box, select a period from the list of all open and closed periods in DPS.
  3. If you want DPS to make the latest period your active period each time that you open DPS, select the Automatically default to current period at startup check box. If you do not select this check box, DPS displays the Change Period dialog box when you open DPS so that you can select the accounting period that you want to work in. Whether or not you select this check box, you can change the active period as needed from within DPS.
  4. Click OK.
