Close Out Projects
When you close out projects, phases, or tasks, the utility transfers the closed-out information to a WBS element of the same type or to a special completed project, phase, or task number.
Prerequisites: Print a copy of the Project Progress report for each project that you plan to close. Back up your DPS database. To close out a project, the project must have the same task structure as the receiving project.
To close out projects:
- On the Navigation menu, click .
- In the Receiving Project field on the Project Closeout form, use the Project lookup to search for and select the project number to which to close out the project.

		  In the 
			 Project field, click 
			 Lookup/Insert or 
			 Insert to search for and select the appropriate project(s) to close. 
		   
		    The project number displays in the 
			 Project field. The project's name displays in the 
			 Name field. 
		   
		  - Click the name of the project to view the project record.

				To delete a project, select the project and click 
				   Delete. Delete.
- Click the name of the project to view the project record.

		  Select one of the following actions: 
		   
		  - To run this utility manually, click 
				 Run. Run.
- To schedule this utility to run on a regular basis via the process server, click 
				 Schedule and complete the information on the Schedule dialog box. Schedule and complete the information on the Schedule dialog box.
 You can continue to close out the project.
