AR Statement Heading Tab

Use the Heading tab to specify the information to display in the heading portion of AR statements.

You can also use the Margins and Images grid to insert new images that will display on the report. The images display for all projects and clients that are included on the report selection. To filter the image that is received by each project and client group, you must create and save individual reports that are tailored with the correct image for each group.

Field Description
Firm Block Use these check boxes to select the firm information that will display on the report.
Print Firm Name Select this check box to include your firm’s name on the report. Firms that print statements on letterhead usually do not select Print Firm Name.
Print Byline Select this check box to include your firm’s byline on the report. Firms that print statements on letterhead usually do not select Print Byline.
Print Address Select this check box to include your firm’s address on the statement. Firms that print statements on letterhead usually do not select Print Address.
Address Fields Enter the individual lines of the firm's address.
Alignment Specify the alignment for the report.
Statement Addressee Select the addressee for the statements. The default setting for this option comes from the Invoice Addressee field on the General tab of the Billing Setup form.
Print Project Name Select this check box to display the project name near the top of the statement.
Print Project Long Name Select this check box to display the project long name near the top of the statement.
Print Billing Terms Description Select this check box to display the project description near the top of the statement.
Print Project Number in Heading Select this check box to display the project number in the heading near the top of the statement.
Print Invoice Leading Zeros Select this check box to display leading zeros in invoice numbers. If you clear this check box, leading zeros are removed from invoice numbers on the statements.
Print Country Select this check box to include the country in the client’s address. You may want to clear this check box if the clients to receive the statements are located in the same country as your enterprise.
Statement Header Enter any text that you want to display above the list of invoices on each statement.

Margins and Images Grid

This grid allows you to insert the images that you want to include on the report, such as a company logo or statement image. You can also specify the measurements, width, height, and location (header or footer) as needed. Defaults for Firm Address, Client Address, Date, and Statement cannot be removed from this grid.

Margins and Images Drop-down

Click the drop-down arrow on a grid header to complete any of the following actions:

  • To print grid data, click Print. On the Print Preview form, click File > Print to send the grid data to your default printer.
  • To export grid data to an Excel spreadsheet, click Export to Excel. When Microsoft Excel opens, use its features to modify, print, or email the grid data, or to save the spreadsheet file locally.
  • To turn on grouping for a grid, click Enable Grouping. When a field displays with the instruction: "Drag a column header here to group by that column," drag and drop column headers into the field, in the sequence that you want them to display.

Not all options are available on all grids.

Insert Click this option to insert a margin or image on the Margins and Images grid.
Copy Select a margin or image and click this option to copy it on the Margins and Images grid. You cannot copy system-defined entries.
Delete Click this option to delete a margin or image on the Margins and Images grid. You cannot delete system-defined entries.
Select Select this check box when the row is inserted for a statement label or an image. This check box is selected and locked for all system-defined entries except Firm Address, which is selected and locked only if the Print Address check box is also selected.
Name Select the name of the inserted image. The drop-down list includes all images that are uploaded with the Invoice Template Editor. This field is locked for all system-defined entries.
Top Margin Enter the top margin, in inches or millimeters, based on your entry in the Unit of Measure field.
Left Margin Enter the left margin, in inches or millimeters, based on your entry in the Unit of Measure field.
Width Enter the width for the margin or image. Use inches or millimeters, based on your selection in the Unit of Measure field on the Layout tab.
Height Enter the height for the margin or image. Use inches or millimeters, based on your selection in the Unit of Measure field on the Layout tab.
Location Specify the location of the inserted image, Header or Footer. This option is locked for all system-defined fields.
