Opportunity Forecast Columns Tab

Use the Columns tab to select the columns to display on the Opportunity Forecast report, change column sequence, provide new column labels, set column widths, or select number and date formats.

Grid Type Columns

Most available columns display data from the Opportunities hub. In addition, you can use this tab to include columns that contain associated data. These are called "grid columns."

The list of columns in this topic includes all available grid columns. However, the grid columns that actually display on the Columns tab vary based on your selection in Grid Type on the General tab of the Options dialog box. The grid column labels begin with the grid type. For example, each of the Contact grid column labels begins with Contacts - (Contacts - Name, Contacts - Title, and so on).

The following are the columns listed in the Column Name field in the grid on the Columns tab that you can add to the Opportunity Forecast report.

Field Description
Opportunity Name This column displays the name of the opportunity.
Opportunity Number This column displays the opportunity identifier.
Organization If you use organizations, this column displays the identifier for the organization in your enterprise that is responsible for pursuing the opportunity.
Organization Name If you use organizations in DPS, this column displays the name of the organization in your enterprise that is responsible for pursuing the opportunity.
Primary Client This column displays the name of the primary firm associated with the opportunity.
Primary Contact Name This column displays the name of the primary contact associated with the opportunity.
Row Count This column displays the total number of detail lines for each group, based on the sorting and grouping selections on the Sorting/Grouping tab. If the report groups data at more than one level, this column displays row counts for all grouping levels.
Project Number This column displays the project number associated with the opportunity. DPS automatically assigns a project number if auto number is enabled. You can edit the number of an existing project by using key convert.
Project Name This column displays the name of the project associated with the opportunity.
Promotional Project This column displays the project number if the project is a promotional project. A promotional project tracks the costs (such as, time and expense) associated with pursuing and acquiring a project.
Promotional Project Name This column displays the name of the promotional project that is associated with the opportunity.
Project Plan If you use Planning and the project associated with the opportunity is linked to a plan, this column displays the plan identifier.
Project Plan Name This column displays the name of the DPS plan that is associated with the opportunity.
Organization Status This column displays the status (active, inactive, or dormant) of the firm that is associated with the opportunity.
Primary Contact Title This column displays the title of the primary contact associated with the opportunity.
Primary Contact Business Phone This column displays the business phone number of the primary contact associated with the opportunity.
Primary Contact Mobile Phone This column displays the mobile phone number of the primary contact associated with the opportunity.
Primary Contact Business Fax This column displays the fax number of the primary contact associated with the opportunity.
Primary Contact Pager This column displays the pager number of the primary contact associated with the opportunity.
Primary Contact E-mail This column displays the e-mail address of the primary contact associated with the opportunity.
Project Manager Name This column displays the name of the employee serving as project manager for the opportunity.
Principal–In–Charge Name This column displays the name of the principal responsible for the opportunity.
Supervisor Name This column displays the name of the employee serving as supervisor for the opportunity.
Est. Revenue This column displays the estimated revenue you expect to earn from the opportunity.
Probability This column displays the probability that the opportunity will become a project. For example, if that probability is 80%, this column contains 80.
Weighted Revenue This column displays the weighted revenue for the opportunity: Estimated revenue x Probability / 100.
Date Opened This column displays the date on which you identified the opportunity and began pursuing the job.
Date Closed This column displays the date on which you closed the opportunity (for example, the date you stopped pursuing the opportunity or the date you were awarded the job).
Days Open This column displays the number of days the opportunity has been open. For a closed opportunity, this column displays the number of days from the date it was opened to the date it was closed.
Stage This column displays the current stage of the opportunity (for example, Pending, Proposal, Submitted, or Awarded).
Type This column displays the type of the project (for example, Educational, Municipal, or Medical).
Source This column displays the source of the opportunity (for example, Consultant Job or Marketing Campaign).
Status This column displays the current status of the opportunity: Active or Inactive.
Est. Start Date This column displays the date you expect to begin work if you are awarded the contract.
Est. Compl. Date This column displays the date you expect to complete the work if you are awarded the contract.
Address 1-3 This column displays the opportunity mailing address information (street name and number, suite number, post office box number).
City This column displays the city from the opportunity address.
State This column displays the two-character abbreviation for the state from the opportunity address.
Zip This column displays the ZIP code from the opportunity address.
County This column displays the county in which the opportunity is located.
Country This column displays the country from the opportunity address.
Create User This column displays the user ID of the person who created the opportunity record in the Opportunities hub.
Create Date This column displays the date on which the opportunity record was created.
Modify User This column displays the user ID of the person who most recently modified the opportunity record.
Modify Date This column displays the date on which the opportunity record was most recently modified.
Owner Number This column displays the phone number of the firm designated as the owner of the opportunity.
Owner Name This column displays the name of the firm designated as the owner of the opportunity. You specify the owner in Primary Client on the Overview tab of the Opportunities hub.
Owner Address Description This column displays additional description about the address of the primary contact that is assigned the owner role for the opportunity.
Owner Concatenated Address This column displays the street address, city, state, and ZIP code of the firm designated as the owner of the opportunity. If the address is too long for the width of the column, it continues on additional lines within the column.
Description This column displays the description of the opportunity.
Closed Reason This is a drop-down list that displays pre-defined reasons why the opportunity closed. The options in the list are defined in the code tables found in Configuration.
Closed Notes This is a memo field that you can use to fill in any description that relates to the closing of the opportunity.
Service Profile Code If the Enable Service Estimate option is selected in Opportunities Settings, this column displays the code for the service profile that is associated with the opportunity.
Service Profile Description If the Enable Service Estimate option is selected in Opportunities Settings, this column displays the description for the service profile that is associated with the opportunity.
Responsibility This column displays the level of responsibility the firm has for the opportunity (for example, Prime, Joint Venture, or Consultant).
Responsibility Description This column displays the description for the level of responsibility the firm has for the opportunity.
NAICS Code If the company is in Maryland, this column displays the six-digit North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the opportunity.
NAICS Description This column displays the description for the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the opportunity.
Solicitation This column displays the ID number of the request for proposal (RFP) for the opportunity.
Project Principal–In–Charge Name This column displays the name of the employee designated as the principal for the project associated with the opportunity.
Project Project Manager Name This column displays the name of the employee designated as the Project Manager for the project associated with the opportunity.
Project Supervisor Name This column displays the name of the employee designated as the Project Supervisor for the project associated with the opportunity.
Project Responsibility This column displays the firm’s level of responsibility on the project associated with the opportunity.
Project Type This column displays the type of project associated with the opportunity. The values for the project type field is set in the Project Type (CFGProjectType) code table in Configuration > General > Code Tables.
Project Start Date This column displays the date the firm associated with the opportunity started work or will start work on a project.
Project Est Completion Date This column displays the date the firm associated with the opportunity expects to complete the project.
Project Actual Completion Date This column displays the date the firm associated with the opportunity completed the project.
Project Total Project Cost This column displays the total cost of the project.
Project Firm Cost This column displays the total cost to your company for working on the project.
Project JTD Revenue Amount This column displays the job-to-date revenue amount for the project.
Project JTD Profit This column displays the job-to-date profit amount for the project.
Project JTD Billed Amount This column displays the job-to-date billed amount for the project.
Project JTD AR Amount This column displays the job-to-date accounts receivable amount (billed but not yet received) for the project.
Project JTD Total Actual Cost This column displays the job-to-date actual cost amount for the project.
Project JTD Direct Cost This column displays the job-to-date direct cost for the project.
Project JTD Labor Cost This column displays the job-to-date labor cost for the project.
Project JTD Hours This column displays the job-to-date hours for the project.
Project YTD Revenue Amount This column displays the year-to-date revenue amount for the project.
Project YTD Profit This column displays the year-to-date profit amount for the project.

Promo.Project Est Completion Date This column displays the date the firm associated with the opportunity expects to complete work on a promotional project.

Promo.Project Total Project Cost This column displays the total cost of the promotional project.
Promo.Project Firm Cost This column displays the total cost to your company for working on the promotional project.
Promo.Project JTD Total Actual Cost This column displays the job-to-date actual cost amount for the promotional project.
Promo.Project JTD Labor Cost This column displays the job-to-date labor cost for the promotional project.
Promo.Project JTD Hours This column displays the job-to-date hours for the promotional project.
Promo.Project YTD Total Actual Cost This column displays the year-to-date actual cost amount for the promotional project.

Custom Currency Code If you use multiple currencies, this column displays the currency code used for user-defined currency fields.
Master Contract This column displays the master contract that is associated with the opportunity.
PoP (in Months) This column displays the duration (in months) of work on the contract associated with the opportunity.
Total Contract Value This column displays the total amount of the contract for the owner of the opportunity.
Marketing Coordinator This column displays the name of the employee designated as the Marketing Coordinator for the opportunity.
Proposal Manager This column displays the name of the employee designated as the Proposal Manager for the opportunity.
Business Development Lead This column displays the name of the employee designated as the Business Development Lead for the opportunity.
Activities - Completed The activity can be Pending or Completed.
Activities - Type This column displays the activity type (for example, Phone Call, Meeting, or Email).
Activities - Subject This column displays a brief description of the activity (for example, Initial Consultation, Planning Meeting, Customer Lunch, or Follow-up Visit).
Activities - Start Date This column displays the date and time that the activity is scheduled to begin.
Activities - Priority This column displays the priority ranking that indicates the relative importance of individual activities: High, Medium, or Low.
Activities - Owner This column displays the name of the employee who is responsible for the activity.
Activities - Primary Firm This column displays the name of the firm associated with the activity.
Activities - Primary Contact This column displays the name of the primary contact associated with the activity.
Activities - Primary Contact Bus. Phone This column displays the primary contact's work telephone number.
Activities - Project This column displays the name of the project associated with the activity.
Activities - Marketing Campaign This column displays the identifier of the marketing campaign associated with the activity.
Activities - Location This column displays the location where the activity occurred or will occur.
Activities - Notes This column displays additional text that describes the activity.
Added By - Name If the opportunity was imported from GovWin IQ , this column displays the name of the employee who imported the IQ record.
Competition Columns If you selected Competition in the Grid Type field on the General tab for this report, the following competition fields from the Competition tab on the Projects form in the Projects hub display in the Column Name field on the Columns tab. Select a column to add it to the report.

Contacts - Name This column displays the name of the contact associated with the opportunity.
Contacts - Firm This column displays the name of the firm associated with the contact.
Contacts - Role This column displays the contact's role in the opportunity.
Contacts - Role Description This column displays the contact's role in the opportunity (for example, Owner or Project Manager).
Contacts - Title This column displays the contact's title (for example, Director, Project Manager, or CEO).
Contacts - Business Phone This column displays the contact's business telephone number.
Contacts - Mobile Phone This column displays the mobile phone number of the contact associated with the opportunity.
Contacts - Business Fax This column displays the fax number of the contact associated with the opportunity.
Contacts - Pager This column displays the pager number of the contact associated with the opportunity.
Contacts - E–mail This column displays the e-mail address of the contact associated with the opportunity.
Contacts - Address1 This column displays the contact's street address.

Employees - Name This column displays the name of the employee associated with the opportunity.
Employees - Role This column displays the employee's role in the opportunity (for example, Lead Architect or Structural Engineer).
Employees - Role Description This column displays an additional description of the employee's role in the opportunity.
Employees -Title This column displays the title of the employee associated with the opportunity (for example, Architect, Engineer, or Designer).
Firms - City This column displays the city from the firm's address.
Firms - State This column displays the state from the firm's address.
Firms - Zip This column displays the ZIP code from the firm's address.
Firms - Name This column displays the name of the firm associated with the opportunity.
Firms - Role This column displays the firm's role in the opportunity (for example, Owner, Developer, or Partner).
Firms - Role Description This column displays additional information about the firm's role on the opportunity.
Firms - Type This column displays the type of firm (for example, Commercial, Government, or Non-Profit).
Firms - Status This column displays the current status of your relationship with the firm (for example, Active, Dormant, or Inactive).
Firms - Address Description This column displays the description of the firm's address.
Firms - Address This column displays the street address, city, state, and ZIP code of the firm. It also displays a description of the address (for example, Company Headquarters or Northeast Sales Office).
Key Contacts – Contact Type If the opportunity was imported from GovWin IQ, this column displays the contact type for key contacts.
Key Contacts – Email If the opportunity was imported from GovWin IQ, this column displays the email address of key contacts.
Key Contacts – First Name If the opportunity was imported from GovWin IQ , this column displays the first name of key contacts.
Key Contacts – Last Name If the opportunity was imported from GovWin IQ , this column displays the last name of key contacts.
Key Contacts – Phone If the opportunity was imported from GovWin IQ , this column displays the phone number of key contacts.
Key Contacts – Title If the opportunity was imported from GovWin IQ, this column displays the title (for example, Project Manager or Proposal Manager) for key contacts.
Key Dates – Date (IQ Estimate) If the opportunity was imported from GovWin IQ, this column displays the estimated date for a milestone associated with the IQ record.
Key Dates – Milestone If the opportunity was imported from GovWin IQ, this column displays the milestone associated with the IQ record.

This column contains one of the following:

  • The address (URL) for a Web site, intranet site, file transfer (FTP) site, and so on. If you preview the report, you can click the link to go to that address.

Marketing Campaigns - Name This column displays the name of the marketing campaign.
Marketing Campaigns - Number This column displays the numeric identifier for the marketing campaign.
Milestones – Primary Firm This column displays the primary firm associated with a milestone for the opportunity.
Milestones – Primary Contact This column displays the primary contact associated with a milestone for the opportunity.
Milestones – Primary Contact Business Phone This column displays the business phone number of the primary contact associated with a milestone for the opportunity.
Milestones – Completed This column displays the date when a milestone for the opportunity has been completed.
Milestones – Location This column displays the location where a milestone for the opportunity has been completed.
Milestones – Marketing Campaign This column displays the marketing campaign associated with a milestone for the opportunity.

Project Codes - Project Code This column displays the project code associated with the opportunity. Project codes enable you to identify the types work or stages of work you expect to perform and to enter estimated fees for each one.

Project Codes - Fee This column displays the estimated fee for the work that the project code represents.
Project Codes - SF330 This column displays the SF330 code associated with the project code.
Proposals - Name This column displays the name of the proposal.
Proposals - Number This column displays the proposal's identifier.
Proposals - Type This column displays the proposal type (for example, Draft Proposal or Technical Proposal).
Proposals - Organizations If you use organizations, this column displays the organization in your enterprise that is responsible for producing the proposal.
Proposals - Responsible Person This column displays the name of the employee responsible for producing the proposal.
Proposals - Status This column displays the status of the proposal (for example, Pending, Won, Lost, Go/No Go, or Delayed).
Proposals - Source This column displays the proposal source (for example, Consultant Job or Marketing Campaign).
Proposals - Date Advertised This column displays the date on which the request for proposal was published.
Proposals - Due Date This column displays the date by which you must submit the proposal.
Proposals - Submittal Date This column displays the actual date on which you submitted the proposal or expect to submit it.
Proposals - Award Date This column displays the date on which your firm was awarded the contract for the proposed job.

Proposals - Linked Proposal If you have created a proposal, this column displays the name of the proposal linked to the opportunity.
Proposals - Linked SF255 If you have created an SF255 proposal, this column displays the name of the SF255 proposal linked to the opportunity.
Proposals - Linked SF330 If you have created an SF330 proposal, this column displays the name of the SF330 proposal linked to the opportunity.
