Add a Firm to an Opportunity

You can add a firm to an opportunity. You can manage other firms including the owner (your client's client) and your vendors via the Team tab.

To add a firm to an Opportunity:

  1. In the Navigation pane, go to the Hubs section and select Opportunities > Team tab. A Firms grid and a Team Members grid that list all the firms and team members associated with a specific opportunity are displayed.
  2. Click + Add Firm below the Firms grid. A blank row appears at the bottom of the grid that you will use to complete field information for the new record.
  3. In Name, select the firm from the drop-down list.

    You can type part of the firm’s name or number to quickly find it in the list.

    If the firm has not yet been added, you can click + Add Firm at the bottom of the drop-down list to add the firm.

  4. Depending on the firm you selected, the Type field might be autopopulated; however, you can change the firm type to either client or vendor as needed.
  5. In Role, specify the firm's role on the opportunity, such as Client, Owner, Architect, and so on.
  6. In Location, specify the firm location that is associated with the opportunity. If available, DPS autopopulates the Phone field with the firm's phone number that is based on its location information.
  7. Enter the description in the Role Description field.
  8. To add more detailed information about the firm or to designate the firm as the primary, hover over the Name, and click More.... (If the row is in edit mode, you cannot display the info bubble.) To exit edit mode, click anywhere outside the row and then click Name.
  9. Move off the new firm record's row to automatically save it, or click the vertical ellipses icon at the end of the row and select Delete to delete the firm record.
