Contents of the Labor Code Lookup Dialog Box

Use the fields and options to select a labor code to which you are charging time on a timesheet.

Field Description
Search fields and list boxes for each level of a labor code The search fields at the top of the dialog box each correspond to a labor code level. Below each search field is a list box with the codes for that labor code level. The number of codes found for a labor code level displays below the search field.
You can:
  • Filter the list of codes by using the search field to enter all or part of a code or name for a labor code level. Only the codes corresponding to the specified information display in the list box.
  • Scroll through the list box to select a labor code level.
  • Click or in a list box heading to sort by code or description in ascending or descending order. Records are initially sorted by code. To sort by description, hover over the description title to display and click . If you have previously sorted a list by either code or description, the last icon used appears in the header.

If, instead of the search field, the Filter Budgeted Levels check box displays above the list and is selected, that indicates that only labor codes for which you are budgeted for the project are available in the list. You can clear this check box and select from all of the labor codes for the level if the Budgeted Validation field on the Time & Expense tab in the Project hub in the web application is set to Warning. If the Budgeted Validation field is set to Error, then the filter check box is disabled and you can only select from the displayed short list of values.
