Contents of the View Curricula Screen

The View Curricula screen displays the following fields and columns.

Field Description
Select

Click this drop-down list to see all of the curricula set up for your organization. When you select a curriculum, a description of the curriculum displays, as do all of the courses that make up the curriculum.

Description

This is the course description.

Courses

This section lists all of the courses that make up the curriculum.

Course

This is the name of the course. Click it to see the Course Profile, including a list of available classes.

Education Units

This displays the educational unit type, category and number of units that you will earn if you complete the course with a passing grade.

The Educational Unit Type displayed may be one of the following:
  • CEU (Continuing Education Units)
  • CPD (Continuing Professional Development)
  • Credits (Continuing Education Credits)
  • PDH (Professional Development Hours)
The Educational Unit Category is enclosed in parentheses, and may be one of the following:
  • Compliance
  • General
  • Professional
  • Strategic

When students receive external certifications, degrees, or titles, they sometimes have to complete continuing education courses to maintain their professional standing. Before granting educational units, your organization must verify that the appropriate accrediting associations will accept them.

Course Credit

This is the number of internal credits that you will earn if you complete the course with a passing grade.

Awarded

This is the number of credits that you have been awarded for completing this course.

Date Completed

This is the date on which you completed the course.

Actions

The button on the Curricula screen performs the following functions.

Action Description
Request Enrollment Click this button to ask to be enrolled in the selected curriculum. If your enrollment requires your manager’s approval, you will see a message stating that your enrollment is pending approval.
