Employee Information

Use the Employee Information screen to provide all information for an employee. The screen is multi-tabbed because of the amount of data required for each employee.

When do I use the Employee Information screen?

Use this tabbed screen to add, edit, or delete employees. We introduced an Employee Security feature in version 5.1.  If you turn on this feature for your security role in the Security Roles screen, the employees that you can view, update, and delete will be based on your functional role rights.

Note:  If the Employee Security feature is turned on and you add a new employee, you cannot view or update that new employee until he has been added to a group that you supervise.

The Employee Information screen tabs

The tabs available in this screen are Basic Information, Miscellaneous, History, Leave, Groups, Defaults, and Pay Methods.

Use the first tab to provide basic information on the employee. Use the second tab to enter miscellaneous information such as user-defined fields and contact information. Use the third tab to add, edit, and/or delete history information for the employee. Use the fourth tab to enter the leave balance for the employee and to add leave adjustment records. The fifth tab displays the group memberships and groups supervised tables. Use the sixth tab to maintain employee preference information, such as the default screen that should appear when the employee first logs into Deltek Time. Use the seventh tab to set up employee pay methods.

Note: The Pay Methods tab will be disabled if your company is not licensed for Deltek Expense.

Note: If you are adding a new Employee, you will have access only to the Basic Information tab until you select Save.

Note: You cannot delete an employee if the Employee ID is found in any of the following:
