UDT02 LINKS

This non-editable column displays the currently linked UDT02s.

This non-editable column displays the currently linked UDT07 descriptions.

This non-editable column displays the rate 1 value for the currently linked UDT02s. The column will display based on the Use and Label values in the User-Defined Rates group box for Rate 1 in the Miscellaneous tab of the Time Configuration screen.

This non-editable column displays the rate 2 value for the currently linked UDT02s. The column will display based on the Use and Label values in the User-Defined Rates group box for Rate 2 in the Miscellaneous tab of the Time Configuration screen.

Select the More pushbutton to display the next set of linked items. If you select linked items before selecting the More pushbutton, the system will display the following confirmation message: "Current selection of records will be lost. Do you want to continue?" If you select Yes, the next set of linked items will display and the current selection will be cleared. If you select No, the current selection of linked items will remain.

This non-editable column displays the currently linked UDT07.

This non-editable column displays the currently linked wildcard UDT02s.

This non-editable column displays the currently linked UDT07 descriptions.

Use the Lookup pushbutton to the right of the field to select a UDT02 to link to the UDT07. You can also enter the UDT02 manually. If you are using the Costpoint Multicompany feature, the UDT02s that appear in the Lookup will be those that are associated with the selected Costpoint company.

The description will be automatically populated after you select the UDT02. You can edit this field to make it specific for this link.

Enter the rate 1 rate that you wish to use for this UDT02 link. This field will be available if you are calculating Rate 1. The range is "-99999999.99999" to "99999999.99999."

Enter the rate 2 rate that you wish to use for this UDT02 link. This field will be available if you are calculating Rate 2. The range is "-99999999.99999" to "99999999.99999."

Select OK to add the UDT02 link to the database. The link will display in the UDT02 table.

Select Cancel to close the dialog without adding the link.

Enter the UDT02 that you want to link including wildcard characters. For example, enter "%123" to include all UDT02s that end in 123. Select the Options pushbutton for more examples.

The description will default from the UDT07. You can edit this field to make it specific for this link.

UDT02 Links

Each link tab displays a table of the linked items of the current UDT07. Use the UDT02 Links tab to add and/or delete UDT02 links. Different column headings and data will display in the table, depending on whether you are using Direct or Wildcard links.

The number of linked items displayed is determined by the number supplied in the Max Table Rows drop-down box in the General Options tab of the General Configuration screen. If there are more linked items to be displayed, the More pushbutton will appear on the bottom of the screen.

This section will display if you are calculating one or both of the rate fields. This is based on the Use and Label values in the User-Defined Rates group box in the Miscellaneous tab of the Time Configuration screen. See the "Labor Costing" special topic for more detail.

Select the UDT02 link that you wish to edit by clicking on the button to the left of the row. Then select the Edit Link function to bring up the appropriate dialog.

Delete Link

Select the UDT02 link or links that you wish to delete by selecting the checkbox to the left of the row or rows. Then select the Delete Link function to delete the row(s).
