Employee Groups Supervisors

This non-editable column displays the names of the supervisors of the selected group.

This non-editable column displays the employee IDs of the supervisors of the selected group.

Note: The Supervisor ID column will display only if you selected the Show Employee ID checkbox in the Miscellaneous tab of the General Configuration screen.

This non-editable field displays the supervisor's function for this group. Valid options are all the functional roles set up in your system with employee type rights.

Select the More pushbutton to display the next set of supervisors. If you select supervisors before selecting the More pushbutton, the system will display the following message: "Current selection of records will be lost. Do you want to continue?"

If you select Yes, the next set of supervisors will display and the current selection will be cleared. If you select No, the current selection of supervisors will remain.

Use the Lookup pushbutton to the right of the field to select a supervisor ID.

Use the Lookup pushbutton to the right of the field to select a supervisor name if you have not already selected a Supervisor ID.

Select the supervisor's function for this group. The available options are all the functional roles set up in your system with employee type rights. They are listed in alphabetical order. By default, this field is blank to ensure that you select a correct function.

Select OK to add the supervisor to the group. The supervisor will display in the table. If you did not select a Function, the system will display the following error message: "No function is selected."

If the employee group, supervisor, and function combination already exists in the system, the following error message will display: "The Employee Group, supervisor and functional role combination already exists."

Select Cancel to close the dialog without adding the supervisor.

Supervisors

Use the Supervisors tab to add or delete supervisors for the group displayed. The tab consists of a non-editable table grid. The data is sorted alphabetically by Supervisor Name.

The number of supervisors displayed is determined by the number supplied in the Max Table Rows drop-down box in the General Options tab of the General Configuration screen. If there are more supervisors to be displayed, the More pushbutton will appear on the bottom of the screen.

Add Supervisor

Use the Add Supervisor function to assign a supervisor and set up his rights to the group.

Delete Supervisors

Select the supervisor or supervisors that you wish to delete by selecting the checkbox(es) to the left of the row. Then select the Delete Supervisors function to delete the row(s).
