Select the More pushbutton to display the next set of linked items. If you select linked items before selecting the More pushbutton, the system will display the following confirmation message: “Current selection of records will be lost. Do you want to continue?”

If you select Yes, the next set of linked items will display and the current selection will be cleared. If you select No, the current selection of linked items will remain.

This non-editable column displays the currently linked UDT01.

This non-editable column displays the currently linked wildcard UDT02s.

If you select Yes, the next set of linked items will display and the current selection will be cleared. If you select No, the current selection of linked items will remain.

The current UDT01 value is the default for this field. This is an editable field. It can contain the "%" or "_" wildcard characters.

Enter the UDT02 that you want to link including wildcard characters. For example, enter "%123" to include all UDT02s that end in 123. Select the Options pushbutton for more examples.

Select OK to add the UDT02 link to the database. The link will display in the UDT02 table.

Select Cancel to close the dialog without adding the link.

UDT02 Links

Each link tab displays a table of the linked items of the current UDT01. Use the UDT02 Links tab to add and/or delete UDT02 links. Different column headings and data display in the table, depending on whether you are using Direct or Wildcard links.

The Add Link function will also perform differently, based on the configuration setting for the type of link.

The number of linked items displayed depends on the number supplied in the Max Table Rows field in the General Options tab of the General Configuration screen. If there are more linked items to be displayed, the More pushbutton will appear on the bottom of the screen.

Add Link (Direct Link)

Select the Add Link function to add direct UDT02 links to the UDT01. A Lookup dialog will display in which you can select the UDT02 records. Select the button to the left of the rows in the Lookup dialog, then select OK to add the UDT02 links to the UDT01.

Delete Link

Select the UDT02 link or links that you wish to delete by selecting the checkbox to the left of the row. To delete all of the links in the table, select the checkbox in the upper left corner of the table. This will select all of the rows. Then select the Delete Link function to delete the row(s).
