Select the timesheet schedule that you want to use as the default when you import or add a new employee history record that does not have an assigned timesheet schedule.

Select the number of timesheets that you want employees to see on their desktops. The valid options are "1" through "25."  This value is the default in the Defaults tab of the Employee Information screen.

Select this checkbox to give employees the ability to load an empty timesheet with selected charges from the Employee Favorites table. This value is the default in the Defaults tab of the Employee Information screen.

Select a number between "1" and "11" to control the display of the charge description in the Timesheet screen and the Charge Lookup dialog.

Select a number between "1" and "120" to control the display size of the charge description in the Timesheet screen and the Charge Lookup dialog.

Select the checkbox to use rate 1. If you select this checkbox, please specify the label for the rate.

Note: Rate 1 is typically used as a labor rate. See the "Labor Costing" special topic for further information.

Select the checkbox to use rate 2. If you select this checkbox, please specify the label for the rate.

Note: Rate 2 is typically used as a billing or "burn" rate. See the "Labor Costing" special topic for further information.

Select the minimum number of rows that can display in the timesheet. The valid options are "1" through "25."

From the drop-down box, select the UDT that you want to use for tracking leave.  The valid options are "UDT01," "UDT02," and "UDT10."  

("UDT02" will appear as an option if you configured the system to use UDT02.)

Use the drop-down box to select whether you want to use the Line Level Approval feature, which enables you to approve or reject individual lines of a timesheet. The valid options are:

• Disabled

• Optional

• Required  

Line level approval information will print on the timesheet if you select an option other than "Disabled."  

Note: Please review the "Line Level Approval "special topic at the end of this guide for more information.

Use the drop-down box to select whether you want to use hours proration and, if so, the number of decimal points for rounding hours. The valid options are:

• Disabled

• Enabled (Hours) - Prorates the hours down to standard and rounds using the hour increment of the employee's timesheet class.

• Enabled (2 Decimals) - Rounds hours down to 2 decimal positions.

You can use the Hours Proration drop-down box to adjust hours entered down to standard. It is a form of Total Time accounting.

Note: Please see the "Hours Proration" special topic at the end of this guide for further details.

Use the drop-down box to select which UDT value should be displayed and printed in timesheet header. The value is based on the employee's appropriate history record. The valid options are UDT01 through UDT10.

Use the drop-down box to select the type of edit(s) that should be performed on leave balances. The valid values are:

• As Of - The system checks whether the employee had leave as of the end date of the timesheet.  It looks at the leave balance (leave taken and leave accrued) as of the end date.

• Cumulative - The system checks leave balance on all leave taken and leave accrued, regardless of timesheet end date. This edit checks whether the employee currently has leave.

• Both - With this option, the system performs both edits.

Select this checkbox to use wage determination for labor costing. You can use wage determination to override an employee's hourly rate using factors such as UDT05, UDT03, UDT01, or UDT07.

Note: Please see the "Labor Costing" special topic at the end of this guide for further details.

Select this checkbox to allow employees to use unauthorized charges. Employees must manually enter unauthorized charges on the timesheet, because such charges will not appear in the Charge Lookup dialog box.

Note: If you select this checkbox, unauthorized charges will display in red in the employee's Favorites screen and timesheet.

Select this checkbox to disable line comments on the timesheet screen. If you select this checkbox, the Line Comment icon will not display on the timesheet. By default, this checkbox is unchecked.

Select this checkbox to disable cell comments. If you are using either or both of the User Defined Rates, you cannot disable cell comments. The checkbox will be unchecked and disabled.

If you are not using the User-Defined Rates and select this checkbox, the cell comment icon will not display on the timesheet.
