Key Convert Organization Format Form

Use the Key Convert Organization Format form to change the organization structure.

If your company uses the Multicompany feature, you cannot add or change the first level of the organization.

To display the form, complete the following step:

From the Vision Navigation menu, click Utilities > Key Formats > Organizations.

Field	Description
Organization Levels	This field displays the number of organization levels, up to 5 levels.
Organization Delimiter	Enter the desired delimiter for your organization number. The current delimiter for your organization code appears for reference. A delimiter must be a special character, such as a period (.) or a comma (,); not 0 to 9, A to Z, or |. Delimiters are counted as part of the organization number length. For example, if the total length is 6, the organization delimiter is a period (.), and the organization delimiter position is 4, the organization number appears as 456.78.
Label	Click Insert to add a new level, up to 5 levels. Use the up and down arrow keys to determine the order of the levels (the first one is level 1, the second one is level 2, and so on). You do not determine the label of the level here. To add a new label to the level or change an existing one, go to Organization General Setup.
Length	Enter the length of the organization number level . The total length of all levels, including delimiters, cannot exceed 14.
Add/Remove from Left/Right	If you want to add or remove characters from an organization number, you can use this feature to determine whether the characters are added to or removed from the left or right side of the number. For example, if you increase the total organization number length from 5 to 7, you can then use this feature to add those two numbers to the left of the number: 12345 becomes 0012345. Conversely, if you decrease the total organization number length from 7 to 5, you can then use this feature to remove those two numbers to the right of the number: 1234567 becomes 12345. Remember that the delimiter is counted as part of the total organization number length.
Sample Value	This field displays the resulting format of the organization number.
