Schedule a Follow-up Activity in the Activity Calendar

When you schedule a follow-up activity, it does not replace the existing activity. It adds a related activity to your Activity Calendar. For example, you can schedule a follow-up phone call with a potential client.

To schedule a follow-up activity using the Activity Calendar, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Calendar/Activities > Calendar.
  2. On the Activity Calendar form, click the Monthly tab, Weekly tab, or Daily tab.
  3. Use the date selection tools on the tab to display the calendar date with the activity for which you want to schedule a follow-up activity.
    • On the Monthly tab, the date selection tools are on the tab toolbar.
    • On the Weekly and Daily tabs, use the small calendar in the pane on the left side of the tab to move the calendar to a different date.
  4. Double-click the activity for which you want to schedule a follow-up activity.
  5. On the Activity dialog box, complete the following actions:
    1. Click the Create Follow-up Activity option on the toolbar. Vision copies the existing activity details to create a new activity.
    2. Modify the activity information on the Detail tab.
    3. Use the tabs to add or delete leads, attendees, and contacts. Select the Notify Attendees check box on the Attendees tab and/or Contacts tab to send activity notifications to attendee and/or contacts.
    4. If this is a recurring activity, click the Recurrence tab and modify the frequency and duration.
    5. If you have user-defined tabs, click these tabs to add information to the activity.
    6. Click OK to close the Activity dialog box, save your entries, and schedule the follow-up activity.
