Enable Effective Dates for Cost Rates

Use Accounting System Settings to enable the effective dates for cost rates feature.

To enable effective dates for cost rates, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Configuration > Accounting > System Settings.
  2. On the Accounting System Settings form, click the General tab.
  3. Select the Cost rate tables check box in the Enable for Timesheets section to enable the effective date labor rate, category, and code tables. This option is mutually exclusive with the Consolidate timesheet postings by Employee and Work Breakdown Structure check box in the Posting Options section of the Timesheets tab in Configuration > Accounting > Company Settings.
  4. Optional. Select the Overtime percent in cost/pay rate tables check box in the Enable for Timesheets section to enable the Ovt Pct and Ovt -2 Pct columns on the forms for the rate tables. Select this option if you want to be able to implement a different overtime policy for certain projects or by their WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) level (for example, by costing overtime to salaried employees or by not costing overtime to hourly employees).
