Text Editor Overview

Use the Text Editor to modify and format text that you enter in text box fields throughout Vision and in Vision Proposals.

Vision text box fields have labels such as Notes, Description, Comments, and Memo. You can enter text directly these fields.

To format the text as you enter or change it, click in the text box title bar and use the Text Editor dialog box. The Text Editor offers formatting features that are similar to those in standard word processing applications such as Microsoft Word.

Some of the things that you can do with the Text Editor include:

Text that you create with the Text Editor is saved in a Rich Text Format (RTF). This allows you to copy and paste text from any standard Windows application into Vision text box fields. Some Windows programs and Web pages have unique formatting and graphics options that Vision may not support. In these situations, you may have to reformat text that you copy and paste from other systems.

Your system administrator specifies the default font type and font size for the Text Editor dialog box on the Miscellaneous tab in Configuration > General > System Settings.
