Select a Phone Number Format
To create consistency within records and reports, your system administrator can establish a default format for phone numbers in General Company Settings. You can override the default format and select a new format for the phone number on the current record.
To specify a new phone number format for a record, complete the following steps:

		  Click 
			 
 
			 Phone next to the 
			 Phone or 
			 Fax field. 
		   
		 - On the Phone Format Selection dialog box, select the Country associated with the phone number.

		  Select a 
			 Description for the phone number. 
		   
		    
			 
Vision displays the Format associated with the selected description.
 -  
		  Enter the 
			 Number. 
		   
		    
			 
Vision any necessary characters or spaces based on the designated format. You cannot overwrite these characters unless you select a new phone number format.
 - Click OK.
