Create a New Vendor Record from a Client
You can create a new vendor record that is based on an existing client record. This reduces the need to enter information in multiple places.
To create a new vendor from a client record, complete the following steps:
- From the Vision Navigation menu, click .
- Click New and select Create Vendor from Client.
- On the Create Vendor from Client dialog box, click Search in the Client field.
- On the Client lookup, select the client record that you want to use to create the new vendor record.
- Select the Copy Client Addresses option to copy all addresses that are associated with the client to the new vendor record.
- Enter a unique number in the New Vendor Number field, enter a name in the New Vendor Name field, and click OK. Vision closes the Create Vendor from Client dialog box and opens a new vendor record. Vision enters the client record's information into the new vendor record.
- Edit the vendor information on the tabs of the Vendor Info Center form.
- Click Save.
