Checklist: Configuring Vision for Navigator Timesheets
These options are configured within Vision by the system administrator and impact the information that displays in Navigator timesheets.

Level | This option determines the employee's access to the Navigator Timesheet application. However, it is important to note that Navigator only allows access to an employee's own timesheet, regardless of the rights that are assigned in Vision.

Disable Timesheet Revision Auditing | This option displays when the Enable timesheet revision auditing option is selected in Timesheet Audit tab of Company Timesheet Configuration. Select the Disable Timesheet Revision Auditing option to disable timesheet revision auditing for the current employee. Typically, timesheet and billing transfer auditing are enabled for all employees within a company; selecting this option overrides the company setting when there is an employee who is an exception and does not require revision auditing. | |

User Options | These options configure if the user can resubmit timesheets, enter overtime, or must sign the timesheet before submitting: | |
Show Timesheet Left Grid Columns | This group box lists the columns that are available for use on a timesheet. The system administrator uses these options to select the actual columns that display on the employee timesheets, as well as the type of data that is available for each column. For example, if you select the Labor Code column to display, the user can then select Name or Number for the data type. | |
Check Hours Against Expected | Select this option to require Navigator to check the total hours entered on a user's timesheet against the total hours the user is expected to enter for a labor period. Navigator only checks regular hours, not overtime hours. The checks are performed when users submit their timesheets. The expected regular hours are calculated by multiplying the number of days in the labor period by the expected hours entered in Hours/Day on the Personal tab of Employee Info Center. Navigator can either warn users about discrepancies, or it can give them an error message. | |
Revision Explanations | Use these options to enable timesheet audits and explanations for revisions that occur after a timesheet is saved or submitted.
A history of the revisions within the timesheet displays on the Revision Audit History dialog in . This information is also used on the Timesheet Audit Detail report, which is useful in the event of an audit. See the Timesheet Audit Detail report in for additional information. |
