Delete Consultants from the Consultants Resource Grid

You can delete a consultant record from the Consultants grid as long as the resource record does not have any job-to-date (JTD) amount and is not included in the baseline.

For you to be able to delete resource rows, your Vision Security role must have Full, Add/Modify, or Modify Only access rights for Project Planning on the Navigator tab in Vision > Configuration > Security > Roles. The Row Tools button does not display if the plan is not checked out, you don't have the appropriate access rights, or you are viewing a Vision plan.

To delete consultant records from the Consultants Resource grid, complete the following steps:

  1. Open the Consultants Resource grid and locate the consultant resource on the grid.
  2. Click Row Tools and select Delete. Navigator checks for JTD and whether the resource record is included in the baseline.
    • If there is JTD, Navigator displays a message asking if you want to delete only the planned amounts for the consultant.
    • If the resource record is in the baseline, you can only delete associated planned amounts from the consultant. You cannot delete a record that is included in the baseline.
  3. Follow the Navigator prompts to delete the record.
    Note: If you choose Yes to remove the planned amount, the associated ETC amount changes to zero.
