The Dashboard may contain options that allow you to switch from displaying billing amounts to cost amounts for the fields and dashparts. Otherwise, it only displays cost or billing amounts.
The
Billing and
Cost options display on the Dashboard under the following circumstances:
- For Navigator plans, the
Budget Type in Plan Settings is set to
Cost and Billing.
- For Vision plans, the
Budget Type option that is selected on the Rates tab of Project Planning is set to
Cost and Billing.
- If you are using a project that does not have a plan, Navigator defaults to use the
Budget Type that is specified in Vision's Plan Settings. If your firm uses Vision Multicompany, it uses the
Budget Type for the project's company. See the Viewing a Project Without a Plan online help topic for more information.
When the
Cost
and
Billing
options are available and Vision Multicurrency is in use, the currency code displays next to the options. See the Using Project and Billing Currencies online help topic for more information.
To switch between billing and cost amounts, complete the following steps:

Open the Dashboard.
When the
Billing
option is selected, the fields and dashparts display billing amounts for all amounts and the chart titles update to indicate the
Billing is selected.

Click the Cost option.
The fields and dashparts update to display cost amounts for all amounts and the chart titlesupdate to indicate that
Cost is selected.
