Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard is your opening screen and "portal" into Ajera CRM. Use the Dashboard to create a personalized view of your business world.

By combining information drawn from different areas of Ajera CRM, you can design a single Web page that brings together all of the information and tools that you rely on most. Because Dashboard content is delivered based on role-based security, administrators can easily manage the content for individuals or groups of users.

Dashboard content is divided into individual dashparts, or blocks. Dashparts provide access to specific records, reports, activities, applications, and web links. You can set up your Dashboard to display only those dashparts used in your role and arrange them on the screen in any way that you like. You can also limit the number of records that you want to display for any dashpart. You define dashboard record number limits in System Configuration.

    Your security role determines the types of dashparts that you can display on your Dashboard.
  • Saving Your Dashboard Changes
    Any changes made to your Dashboard are saved automatically when you leave the Dashboard to work in an application or to log off Ajera CRM. Your changes are also saved when you refresh a dashpart.

    You can create multiple dashparts of the same type on your Dashboard. These multiple dashparts are referred to as "system" dashparts.

    You can create a Web dashpart that links to a web site, a file, a report, or a Web Outlook site. Unlike the Links dashpart, which can list many links, the Web dashpart displays the content associated with a single link.
  • Web Dashpart Security
    To display another web site's content in Ajera CRM, Ajera CRM uses a special Internet Explorer browser control. Microsoft has implemented a security feature in Internet Explorer that prevents this special control from altering or changing the content of a Web dashpart.

    You can select columns and records and set the layout of dashparts on your dashboard.

    If you are new to using the Dashboard, you may find it helpful to review procedures for working with specific dashpart types, such as project dashparts, workbook sheets, or activity dashparts.
  • Procedures for Web Dashparts
    You can add web dashparts and remove any that link to problematic web sites.
  • Screens
    In addition to the heading bar and toolbar on the Dashboard, you use dialog boxes to work with dashparts.
