Moving a Work Package
Moving a work package is similar to copying a work package, except that Cobra deletes that work package from its original location after moving it.
You can move an existing work package from one location to another:
- From within the same control account
- From one control account to another control account
- From one project to another project
You can move a work package by using the Move Work Package dialog box or through the Cobra Web Service using the Move Work Package method.
Guidelines
Cobra follows certain guidelines when moving a work package from one location to another.

- You cannot move a work package to a control account if the same work package name already exists.
- You cannot move a work package to a target project whose fiscal calendar does not encompass the work package baseline and/or pending dates from the source project.
