Invalid Characters

Do not use any of the following characters when entering data in a text entry field: 

(    )  <   >   =   /   \  ;  '   "   `   &   ?   #   |   %

 

For the password field on the login screen, the following characters are not allowed:

#  %  \  '  ?   =  +  &

For an LDAP password, the special characters that are not allowed are controlled by the ldap_pw_restricted_char setting.

 

When adding or modifying a Badge Number, the following characters are not allowed:

#  %  \  '  ?   =  +

 

For the URL field in the Customer Reports form, the following characters are not allowed:

}   {   \   (    )   <   >   "   `   &   ?   |   %

 

For the Parameter Name field in the Customer Reports form, the following characters are not allowed:

\   (    )   <   >   "   `   &   ?   |   %   =  /  ;  #  

 

Exceptions

The restrictions mentioned above do not apply to cron expressions. You may use special characters when entering cron expressions in the Service Schedule form.

The apostrophe ( ' ) may be used in the name fields on the Employee form.

The apostrophe ( ‘ ) and = may be used in the Govt Num, Rcd Num, and Login Name fields on the Employee form.

The = may be used in the Charge Element, Order, and Hierarchy Element forms.

The < and > characters may be used in the Dictionary Label form.
