Add New Dimension Detail Roles

Use the Dimension Detail Role Setup submodule to add new dimension detail roles.

To use the Dimension Detail Role Setup submodule, you must have access to Settings as defined in the User Access Rights submodule under Settings.

To add a new dimension detail role:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Settings .
  2. If you have more than one company in your system, use the drop-down list above the left pane of the Settings screen to select the company to which you want to add a new dimension detail role.
  3. In the left pane of the Settings screen, click Dimensions > Dimension Detail Role Setup.
  4. On the grid toolbar, use the drop-down list to select the dimension type that you want to add a new detail role to.
  5. Click Add and select a Role and Dimension value from their respective drop-down lists.
  6. You can edit the Dimension value, Role, and Employee fields by double-clicking on the corresponding field.
    Note: For the Department dimension type, inactive Departments are not listed in the Dimension value field drop-down list.
