Define a Resource Contact's Access Settings

Depending on your role in WorkBook, you can modify a resource contact's access settings in Resources. These include the login name, access role, password, and the ability to create new tags, open and close task and tickets, and add job team members and contacts to clients.

Note: You must have permission to add, delete, and modify resources to complete this task.

To define a resource contact's access settings:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Resources .
  2. On the right side of the grid toolbar, under the filter icon , select Resource Default Grid from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select the resource associated with the contact whose access settings you want to modify by completing any of the following actions:
    • In the Search in Grid field, enter the name of the resource, then select it from the grid.
    • Click the Filter field next to the Search in Grid field, select the resource type as your filter, and select the resource from the grid. For example, you can use Clients as the filter and then select the client name from the grid.
  4. On the grid toolbar, click Resource Information /.
  5. On the side toolbar of the resource information card, click Contacts .
  6. Click the initials of the contact or click Toggle Resource Card on the top toolbar of the resource information card to display the contact card .
  7. On the side toolbar of the contact card, click Contact Access .
  8. Use the Contact Access Settings tab to define the access settings for the selected contact.
