Enable Dimensions

Use the Dimension Setup submodule to enable dimensions.

To use the Dimension Setup submodule, you must have access to Settings as defined in the User Access Rights submodule under Settings.

To enable a dimension:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Settings .
  2. If you have more than one company in your system, use the drop-down list above the left pane of the Settings screen to select the company containing the dimension that you want to enable.
  3. In the left pane of the Settings screen, click Dimensions > Dimension Setup.
  4. Highlight the dimension that you want to enable and select the following check boxes, as applicable:
    • Enabled: Use this option to enable the dimension.
    • Enabled on General Ledger: Use this option to enable the dimension on the General Ledger.
    • Creditor Invoice Operating Entry: Use this option to enable the dimension on Creditor Invoice Operating entries.
    • Creditor Invoice Project Entry: Use this option to enable the dimension on Creditor Invoice Project entries.
    • Enabled on Job: Use this option to enable the dimension on jobs.
    • Required on Job: Use this option to make the dimension required on jobs.
    • Enable on Job Price and Invoice Lines: Use this option to enable the dimension on job price and invoice lines.
    • Enabled on Pipeline: Use this option to enable the dimension on pipelines.
    • Enable on Employee Reporting: Use this option to enable the dimension on employee reporting.
    • Enable as Company Default: Use this option to enable the dimension as a company default.
    • Enable as Client Default: Use this option to enable the dimension as a client default.
    • Enabled as Subscription Default: Use this option to enable the dimension as a subscription default.
    • Contact Default Enable: Use this option to enable the dimension as a contact default.
    • Show Values from other Companies: Use this option to show values from other companies.
    • Show on User Task List: Use this option to show the dimension on user task lists.
    • Show in Scheduling: Use this option to show the dimension in scheduling.
    • Consolidated Invoice: Use this option to show the dimension in consolidated invoices.
  5. If you want to disable the dimension, unselect the applicable check box.
