Navigator uses workspaces to organize your information. For example, timesheet and expense report information is located within the Employee workspace, while the contract, labor, expense, consultant, and invoice information is located in the Project Management workspace.
When you log in to Navigator, your security access rights on the Navigator tab in Vision » Security » Roles are checked to determine what workspaces and features you can access. To change your access rights to a workspace, your system administrator must update the settings on the Navigator tab.
The Navigator workspaces include:
- Employee: Navigator works with the Timesheet for Vision and/or Expense Report for Vision applications to allow you to enter your own timesheet and expense reports and submit them for processing. Your system administrator configures your access rights that control the activities that you can perform in the application and the information you see.
- Project Management: Navigator's Project Management workspace collects performance and utilization data at project levels and consolidates this information to help you accurately assign, budget, and forecast resource, expense, and consultant information over the life cycle of a project. You can also view invoice information as needed.
