Define New Job Settings for Clients

Depending on your role in WorkBook, you can define the settings for the new jobs that companies will handle for their clients in Resources. These settings include the job type, price list, job administration fee, project manager, profit center, mileage price group, and material price group. Take note that when it comes to transactions between companies and clients, the client defaults take precedence over company defaults.

Note: You must have permission to add, delete, and modify resources to complete this task.

To define new job settings for clients:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Resources .
  2. On the right side of the grid toolbar, under the filter icon , select Resource Default Grid from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select the client whose new job settings you want to define by completing any of the following actions:
    • In the Search in Grid field, enter the name of the client, then select it from the grid.
    • Click the Filter field next to the Search in Grid field, select Clients as your filter, and select the client from the grid.
  4. On the grid toolbar, click Resource Information / to display the client card.
  5. On the side toolbar of the client card, click Client Settings > New Job Settings.
  6. Use the Client Defaults and Company Defaults tabs to define the new job settings: .
