Field Description
Unit of Measure From the drop-down list, select the unit of measure to use for top and left check margins. The options are Inches and Millimeters.

When you switch from one unit of measure to the other, the measurements that are currently entered or displayed in the measurement field are automatically converted to the new unit of measure.

(1 inch = 25.4 millimeters)

Top If the data for your checks is not vertically aligned to print on your paper checks, you can adjust the top margin for the selected bank's checks.
  • Enter the top margin in inches or millimeters based on which one you selected in the Unit of Measure field.
  • To restore the usual margin settings, click the Default button.
Left If the data for your checks is not horizontally aligned to print on your paper checks, you can adjust the left margin for the selected bank's checks.
  • Enter the left margin in inches or millimeters based on which one you selected in the Unit of Measure field.
  • To restore the usual margin settings, click the Default button.
Check Memo Placement If you use the Canada or United States check template, select the location on the check where you want the contents of the check Memo field to print. (The Memo field does not apply for United Kingdom checks.)

Select one of the following settings:

  • Upper — The memo information prints above the amount information. Use this option for checks that are mailed in a window envelope. This prevents the check memo data from being displayed in the window.
  • Lower — The memo information prints below the payee information.
