Add an Account to the Secondary Chart of Accounts

You can create a secondary chart of accounts, also known as the public standard chart of accounts, that you can map to your General Ledger (GL) chart of accounts. Using this mapping, the transactions and trial balance in the GL chart of accounts are reported against the GL account codes of the secondary chart of accounts.

To use the Chart of Accounts submodule, you must have access to Finance & Administration as defined in the User Access Rights submodule under Settings.

To add an account to the secondary chart of accounts tab, you must first enable the Secondary Chart of Accounts tab in the GL by selecting the option Enable the Use of a Secondary Chart of Accounts in Settings > Finance > Basic Finance Settings.

  1. On the main toolbar, click Finance & Administration .
