View or Join Employee Task Conversations

Depending on your role in WorkBook, you can view conversations about tasks that are assigned to other employees in Resources.

Note: You must have permission to add, delete, and modify resources to complete this task.

To join or view employee task conversations:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Resources .
  2. On the right side of the grid toolbar, under the filter icon , select Resource Default Grid from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select the employee assigned to the task containing the conversation that you want to view or join by completing any of the following actions:
    • In the Search in Grid field, enter the name of the employee, then select it from the grid.
    • Click the Filter field next to the Search in Grid field, select Employees as your filter, and select the employee from the grid.
  4. On the grid toolbar, click Resource Information / to display the employee card.
  5. On the side toolbar of the employee card, click Tasks .
  6. Click the Grid View tab .
  7. Click on the top toolbar of the employee card, then click View Schedule on a Subpage.
  8. In the top grid, select a job.
  9. In the middle grid, select the task associated with the conversation that you want to view or join.
  10. On the top toolbar of the top grid, click Task Conversation .
  11. Use the comment field to start or reply to a conversation.
  12. Click Publish or Private.
    • Public: the conversation is visible to all companies in WorkBook and their employees.
    • Private: the conversation is visible only to the selected company and its employees.
