Use Finance Account Conversations

You can have conversations about an account that you select on the Chart of Accounts submodule's List tab. You can use normal conversation features, such as dragging and dropping a file into the conversation.

To perform this procedure, you must have access to Finance & Administration as defined in the User Access Rights submodule under Settings.

To start or access a conversation about an account:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Finance & Administration .
  2. In the left pane of the Finance & Administration window, click General Ledger > Chart of Accounts.
  3. Click the List tab if it is not already displayed.
  4. Click on the account for which you want to open a conversation to select it.
  5. Click the Finance Account Conversation tab.
    If no conversation exists for the selected account, the conversation heading displays Start a new conversation, followed by the number and name of the account.

    If there is already a conversation for the selected account, the conversation heading displays the conversation title (if entered) and the number and name of the selected account.

  6. Enter comments, add files, and so on, in the conversation pane below the conversation heading.
