In the Projects hub, you can add new projects, enter project plans, and update and review project information.
From this application, you can also view employee information without having to open the Employees hub. For more information see: Employee Card — How-to Topics.

Project Amounts from Billing to Cost
In the Projects hub, you can switch between displaying billing amounts and cost amounts in the summary pane, on the Dashboard tab, and on the Plan tab, if you select Cost and Billing in Budget Type for the project in the Plan Settings dialog box. - Specify Cost and Billing Rates for Plans
To specify the budget type, the cost and billing rate methods, tables, and multipliers, and other settings to use for the currently selected project plan, display the Plan Settings dialog box. When you save the settings, DPS recalculates all labor cost and billing amounts, expense billing amounts, and consultant billing amounts based on the current rate settings. - Recalculate Planned Cost and Billing Amounts
In most cases, all amounts are automatically recalculated for a plan using current rate settings each time you save settings in the Plan Settings dialog box. The exceptions are plans that were converted from iAccess. - Select Columns for a Planning Grid
To change the columns that display in one of the planning grids, select the columns you want on the Column Settings & Selections dialog box. - Check Out a
Project Plan
To make changes to a plan on the Projects form, you must check it out. When you check out a plan, it is not available to other users until it is checked back in. - Check in a

When you check out a plan, other users can view it but cannot make changes to it until it is checked back in. Though a plan is automatically checked in when you switch to a different project or go elsewhere in DPS, there may be situations in which you must manually check in plans. - Publish a

If the Resource Planning module is activated but the Accounting module is not activated, you can enter contract fee amounts on the Contract tab of the Projects hub in the browser application. - Display Charts from

To supplement the grid view of project planning data, you can display related charts. You can display charts that reflect data for the project as a whole or for a selected element (a phase, for example) at a lower level of the work breakdown structure (WBS). - Enter Notes for a WBS Element in

To enter notes for a work breakdown structure (WBS) element in a labor plan, display the plan in Project View and either click or in the Notes column on the WBS element's grid row. - Delete a Resource Assignment in

If you assign an expense type or consultant type to a project and later want to remove that assignment, you can do that on the Expenses tab or Consultants tab of the Projects form. - Reschedule Assignments or Plans in the
Projects Hub
To change plan dates or assignment dates for plan rows that have planned hours, use the Reschedule dialog box to enter the new dates and to indicate how you want the schedule change to affect the distribution of planned labor hours and amounts. To change plan dates for plan rows with no planned hours, you can also simply change the dates in one of the three planning grids. - Reassign Work on a
Project to Another Resource in

If you assign work on a project to an employee or generic resource and later want to transfer all or part of the assignment hours to another resource (for example, from a generic resource to a new employee you have just hired for the project), you can reassign them from the Labor tab of the Projects form. - Reassign an Expense Type Assignment in a

If you assign an expense type to a work breakdown structure (WBS) element in a project plan and later want to change the assignment to another expense type, you can do so from the Expenses tab of the Projects form. You can also change the vendor for an expense type assignment. - Reassign a

If you assign a consultant type to a work breakdown structure (WBS) element in a project plan and later want to change the assignment to another consultant type or consultant name, you can do so from the Consultants tab of the Projects form. You can also change the consultant's name for an consultant type assignment. - Revert a
Project Plan to the Last Published Version
If you make changes to a project plan and then, before publishing it, you decide you want to discard your changes, you can return the plan to its last published version. As long as you do not publish the plan with your changes, you can revert to the last published version whether or not you have checked in the plan with those changes. - Delete the Contents of a
Project Plan
If necessary, you can delete the contents of a project plan, including all resource, expense type, and consultant type assignments, the related planned hours or amounts, and the baseline plan, leaving the project with an empty plan. - Start a Kona Conversation
If you use Kona Business, you can create a Kona conversation for the current record. This allows you to collaborate with team members for greater communication and increased productivity. - Approve an Invoice
When a project is configured to use invoice approvals, all of the project's invoices must be approved before they are accepted and posted. - Reject an Invoice
When a project is configured to use invoice approvals, all of the invoices for the project must be approved before they are accepted and posted. - View a Draft Invoice That Is Awaiting Approval
You can preview an invoice before approving or rejecting it. - Enter "In Process" Billing Comments for an Invoice
When an invoice is awaiting approval, you can open the Billing Comments dialog box at any time to enter "in process" billing comments for the invoice. (When you approve or reject an invoice, the Billing Comments dialog box displays automatically so you can enter comments specifically related to those actions.) - View/Add/Edit/Delete an
Accounts Receivable Comment
Use the Accounts Receivable Comments dialog box to view, add, edit, or delete AR comments for the client, invoice, client's projects, invoices for the project, or credit memos related to the invoice. This dialog box displays all comments that have been entered for the client.
